It was reproduced with great detail by Henri Gurard from a picture taken by architect M. Josiah Conder while studying Japanese architecture for completion of the Rokumeikan in Tokyo. Henri Charles Gurard was born in Paris on April 24, 1846. Gurard started his artistic career in architectural design studying at the Ecoles des Beux Art. However, by
