2023 Rita & Rudolf Trossen 'Hubertus' Purus Riesling Trocken, Mosel, Germany Herve Rafflin Soil: Rich marl-limestoneHubertus is a newer Riesling cuve from Rita and Rudi. The fruit comes from the Kinheimer Hubertuslay, a south facing grey and blue slate vineyard. The vines are 45 years old and the vineyard is very steep. The fruit is gently pressed, then fermented and aged for 7 months on the lees in large old Foudre. The wine is bottled with no filtration or sulfitage.
