2023 Ignaz Niedrist, Sauvignon Blanc, Alto Adige Terlano-Terlaner Trentino-Alto Adige, Italy Christina Netzl 15% whole clusterEstate Sauvignon from high, breezy slopes around Terlano on porphyry and dolomitic limestone. Grapes are hand harvested and whole cluster pressed, with a spontaneous, cool fermentation split between stainless steel and large, neutral oak to balance cut and texture. The wine rests several months on fine lees with btonnage as needed; malolactic is largely blocked to preserve tension, and bottling is done with a light touch of sulfur, unfined and lightly
