2021 Far Mountain Myrna Chardonnay, Sonoma Valley, USA Ormiale Ashton BItterMyrna is built on dry farmed, Old Wente Chardonnay from the western side of Bald Mountain in the Mayacamas at 1,800 feet, with a 16% lift from a rocky, cool exposed site on Sonoma Mountain planted to Dijon selections. The fruit is whole cluster pressed and fermented spontaneously in barrel; lees are stirred monthly until the partial malolactic finishes, and the wine ages 11 months in French oak (18% new; remainder 35 year barrels). Its precise and
