WW1. Pair. Hill. R.N. #sherborne Weight: 28British War and Victory Medals (J. 49381 A. C. Hill Ord. R. N.) Archibald Charles Hill was born at Bath, Somerset on 20 August 1900 and enlisted with the Royal Navy as Boy Class II on 1 February 1916. Posted to Penelope on 16 September 1916 he reached his majority with this warship on 20 August 1918. Hill went ashore on 1 April 1919 and served there for the rest of his career, being promoted Leading Stoker on 15 May 1919. His medals survive in VF
