Vintage Art Deco Japanned Copper Horse Head Bookend Pair rat rods This rare original piece featuresc. 1930s; Dodge, Inc., of California (Ray E. Dodge Factories) Los Angeles Vintage figural horse head bookend pair. These two pieces were created by prominent metal decor manufacturer Ray Edgar Dodge (1900 1985) and his metalworking factory. Ray Dodge is also notable for being a member of the U. S. 1924 (Paris) Olympics track team, finishing sixth, and for owning the Illinois foundries who cast the original Oscar statuettes. Both pieces depict the
