At the start of harvest there was an 5 day maceration of direct press juice and whole berries

Back in my cellar

It is cold stabilized and very lightly fined with bentonite before bottling

2022 The Ojai Vineyard Pinot Noir Santa Barbara County, California Pierluigi Zampaglione The 2021 Willamette Valley PinotVarietal Blend: Pinot Noir Vineyard Area: Bien Nacido 40%, Puerta del Mar 29% and Kessler Haak 20%, and Peake Ranch 11% Soil: Varying soil types, from sandy, clay loam, alluvial to chalky and gravelly Vinification: About 10% whole cluster inclusion depending on the vintage, open top fermentation with regular pump overs. Maturation: 14 months in French oak barrels (20% new)
