Description

but it is highly interesting

This is a World War One British officer's bamboo cane with curved top as often seen in Great War photographs being carried by senior staff

The upper right corner of the rear sight leaf is marked R to indicate that the sight graduations are for a rifle and not a carbine

The front of the backpack has two large side loading compartments intended for demolition charges

Polish Bayonets of the period are very rare and especially those originating from PERKUN

Original Austrian Model 1867 WERNDL Infantry Rifle - Dated 1870 Russian Artillery but it is highly interestingOriginal Item: Only One Available. The M1867 WerndlHolub was a single shot breechloading rifle that the Austro Hungarian army adopted in 1867. It replaced the Wanzl breechloader conversion of the muzzle loading Lorenz rifle. Josef Werndl (1831 1889) and Karel Holub (1830 1903) designed and patented their design; Werndl later bought out all the rights. This wonderful example is fully functional, expertly cleaned, and even still has regimental markings
