This is a tremendous Japanese medical trunk which was used during World War II and captured by Pharmacists Mate 3rd Class Paul J. Salzman, Fourth Medical Battalion, Service Troops, Fourth Marine Division Fleet Marine Force. The trunk measures 10 x 23 x 14 and has Red Crosses to each side. The Japanese Kanji to the lid translates to Emergency Medical Treatment Box. The trunk is stenciled to the front: P. J. SALZMAN PHM 3 C
