This is a very nice example of a U. S. M1917 "Doughboy" helmet with a partial liner and chin strap. It features a great original period textured OD Green paint on the top side, and is marked on the front to the 3rd Infantry Division The Rock of the Marne. There is a faint heat lot number marked on the underside of the helmet, but unfortunately we cannot make it out. It is however in the American style. The solid
