This is a German first world war Bavarian Mannschaften (Other Ranks) brass mounted tin plate (not leather) helmet known as a Pickelhaube

5”Total Length: 12 3/4”Scabbard Length: 8” + Belt Loop

It bears serial number 3130 on the bottom front of the receiver

and definitely shows some age related degradation and missing material
