I'd say this little piece really captures a sense of "bear-ness"

It appears that one can take the whole thing apart (if for example one just wanted to wear the handshake pin around)

It is very faintly stamped Sierra Leone on the bottom and I believe dates to the 1920s or so

With all over loosely dabbed brown spots and a two railed base that makes him super sturdy. I guess he is a dog, though those long legs and proud step make him seem a bit horse like, too! Nicely aged, with a little paint loss and roughness on the edge of the ear, nose, and base. The wood is 7 8" thick and
