I've had an eye out lately for 19th century school notebooks

though these have no other function than as whimsies

and I think it may be USN (or USU

I am not entirely certain of the wood

but surely everyone could use a little dose of these radiant golds

Nicely Done Folk Art Fish! vintage game design I've had an eye outThis looks like a lake trout to me, but I am not a fisherwoman, so please correct me if I'm wrong! It's a 13 inch er whatever the case, and nicely done but not at all fussy, with the two fins on the lower body carved separately and glued on. Seemed to me it'd be a nice one to hang in the kitchen, or perhaps near one's fishing gear as inspiration! 13 1 8" l x 4" t, with a hanger on the back. Very good condition, I'd guess mid 20th century or so.
