Description

1910s-20s or so I believe

Both measure 3 1/2" x 5 1/2" and are in very good condition

as well as a mention in a book by John Gould titled “This Trifling Distinction: Reminiscences from Down East” that tells us Everett stood about 7 feet tall

I think he would be great holding a bunch of flowers or a few branches of fall leaves or winter berries

with small puncture holes in the fabric and a bit of staining but many years of use left in it and still really great looking

c. 1920s-30s Carved and Painted Folk Art Bird on Scalloped Base deep bowl 1910s-20s or so I believeI found this little carved and painted bird in upstate New York not far from Albany, and it seems to me likely the creation of a folk carver in a cabin somewhere in the Adirondacks in the 1920s or 30s or so. I take the bird with gray body and black band around its neck as duck, either taking off or just landed, with wings outspread and neck extended. Lovingly carved, with nicely tapering wings and tail, and attached by nailed legs to the cream painted
