It is marked to the 26th Infantry Division and has the YD representing the nickname "Yankee Division"

This is a scarce example of a Bertrand gas grenade, made of six iron segments, each of them drilled with a hole and having four pins on the inside. They were held together with a steel wire and contained a glass ball with chloroacetone. These were not popular among troops due to the gas breaking while being thrown. Like all deactivated ordnance, this grenade is Not Available for Export. This example is in good shape
