Early Myology or The Muscles Human Anatomy Bookplate Engraving on Laid critical eye fings marking the winning horseI haven't found an exact match for this one out there so am not sure what volume it came from, but clearly it is quite an old engraving, late 18th early 19th c. I believe, on laid paper. The text details 76 exterior and 53 interior muscles of the body corresponding to numbers on the beautifully rendered bodies, with a enlarged detail of a "simple regular muscle" at top right. I especially love the face on our man at right. It appears this was cut down
