September 13, 1927 Carved Whimsy with Deco-esque Handle in Best Aqua Blue Paint magic halo 16 7/8" l x 7/8"

16 7/8" l x 7/8" w and in very good antique condition

with black marker drawn hair and mustache

with general light wear and stains

including several layers of skirt

it looks to me original to its mounting

September 13, 1927 Carved Whimsy with Deco-esque Handle in Best Aqua Blue Paint magic halo 16 7/8" l x 7/8"I paid a fair bit for this whimsy, but it's not too often I find a painted whimsy, and the aqua blue on this one is way too good to have resisted. It reminds me of the Chrysler building too! which is apt, as the whimsy is dated Sept 13 on one side and 1927 on another, just a couple of years before the completion of that Art Deco landmark (construction began in 1928.) So a deco skyscraper of a painted rattle whimsy. Photos really do no justice to this
