This is a very nice example straight out of the family home where it was displayed for almost 150 years. The sword measures 37. 5" overall, and has a brass "D" guard enclosing brass wire bound leather hand grip. Complete with curved all steel scabbard with two hanging rings. The 32 inch curved blade's ricasso is marked on one side with the Ames banner style address logo, which is slightly worn [MADE BY] AMES MFG CO.
