This is a very nice service worn example of German WWII Kuban Bridgehead Shield, with a metal shield attached to field gray wool Heer (Army) cloth backing. This example definitely was exposed to the elements for a time, which allowed the steel award and backing plate to oxidize, staining the fabric a bit, and causing the paper backing to fall away. This gives it a lovely service worn patina that would look great on a
