This is a supremely RARE militia officers sword, circa 1840 1850. It features Original mother of pearl grips that have a nice hue to them and are free from most cosmetic issues, save for a little separation on some of the edges. Copper wire wrapping is fully intact with no fraying. The hilt features a decorative knights head pommel, ornate hand guard, quillion, and one sided Shell rainguard chappe with loads of hand
