These "nude knives" were popular with American troops and were offered in small street markets throughout Naples. This example is marked NAPLES 1945 with an engraving pen on the blade, there also is a small image of a volcanic island engraved. USGI Vets bought these as a lighthearted reminder of their time abroad.
