1896 $1 "Educational" Silver Certificates Fr. 224 - Fine PF-11/Cr.319 in center circleThe obverse of "History Instructing Youth" has made the $1 "Educational Note" one of the most iconic of early U. S. currency. Washington, DC can be seen in the background and the fancy reverse features vignettes of both Martha & George Washington. Choice Fine, but a notable split at the right fold. Still this note has a terrific presentation.
