Great Looking Early Vintage German Toy Playpen carved vertebrae figure wonderfully obsessiveThis miniature playpen has a kinship with those iconic Schoenhut circus chairs and pedestals I like so much quite similar in form and sensibility, and with a pretty circus y feel to the colorfully painted beads on wire at either side pen (a hard shelled papier mache I think.) And so, as good a stage platform for a lion or tiger as for a baby, I'd say but also sort of a cheerful minimalist piece of sculpture just as it is, too. With a cool sort of a
