Abraham Schultz 1858 Fraktur Drawing of Birds, Fish, Squirrel toy rubber truck printmaker and highly influential illustratorTo my eye, this is about as good as it gets, perhaps the tail of that blue squirrel most of all! and a perfect example of why fraktur style ink and watercolors are such cherished and collected things. On the reverse it is signed by a David Schultz in blue ink and dated 1860 (along with numbers running 1 9 first forwards then backwards) suggesting perhaps that its maker was in fact David and perhaps that it was made to mark the birth or life of
