very heavy weight canvas
The fact that it feels like a singular object makes for a nice tension with the idea of multiples

Bluebirds Over Heart Inside Garland, 19th C. Watercolor with Embossed Gold Foil Diecuts garden of eden very heavy weight canvasA lovely, happy thing, surely made as a token of love or friendship, with this pair of crossed bluebirds over blue heart suggesting a very "true blue" bond. And then an embossed foil die cut that looks to me like a boy pouring oil into a lantern, so, one presumes, to keep the flame forever burning. And a harp and horns, too! All wrapped up in a watercolored flowering garland. True love forever, so nice. Framed, as found, in a period frame. 3rd quarter
