Original German WWII USGI Decorated M40 Army Heer Helmet with Relic Liner & Chinstrap - Stamped Q64 Military Art 197th Field Artillery Regiment andOriginal Item: Only One Available. This is a nice salty USGI Bring back example of a German Model 40 Steel helmet, picked up off the battlefield during the war. We are not sure what type of helmet it originally was, though it is blue on the interior under the liner, so it may have been a Luftwaffe helmet. The USGI who captured it painted the entire outside and the inside of the skirt black, and then hand panted a Heer Army style Wehrmachtadler Eagle
