This is a nice M1917 helmet that was issued to a United States Marine after the Great War. This very nice example is complete with liner and a custom added chin strap, but the shell was repainted green sometime after the war. Most notably the helmet features a WWII era EGA (Eagle Globe Anchor) insignia. The shell is maker marked ZF50, indicating that this is an American made helmet, and not a British helmet supplied
