1940s-50s or so I would guess and beautifully aged

This is a very simple one as far as bee boxes go--nothing more than a four sided box with two plates of glass held in grooves

and little bit of wiggle to the hinged lid

Clearly with some loss around one glass blue eye, and it looks likely like some old repair repainting around the other, which to me makes her look all the more soulful and expressive, as if the patron saint for women who have endured despite the odds stacked against them.
