This example having been long stored in Nepal comes complete with dust cover to the bolt that often absent

The wooden stock and trigger unit with cross-bolt button fire mode selector were taken from the MP-28

This Pistol is somewhat unusual, as on would expect it to be the French Model of 1822 Flintlock pistol that was later converted to the percussion system after 1842. It is marked faintly on the lock Mre. Imp. de St. Etienne, however while it appears to have been made in the 1822 fashion, it was made directly as a percussion pistol and not originally in flintlock.
