It measures 7 5/8" in diameter and 2 3/4" tall

This pair is heavy enough to hold up even the heaviest row of art books--or perhaps  ideally a bunch of tomes about self sufficiency

with some black/ink stains at upper right which I don't think detracts a bit

with a nice warm patina to the brass
