Description

mounted on a wooden roller with wire handle

State Department official Samuel McKinney and subsequently lived and worked all over the world

it comes from Grenfell Mission in Labrador

this young woman in rose and cream very finely painted on tin

Perhaps he once wore outer garments--fur parka and pants--but the stitching together of the soft hide pieces is so incredibly beautiful who would ever want to cover them up

Vintage 5 Cents Painted Plywood Carnival Sign workd war 2 mounted on a wooden rollerI'd guess this sign advertised the cost of a ring toss or knock down game at a carnival, and it's certainly got a very Coney Island seaside boardwalk sort of flavor to me with this lush and juicy red "5" against white ground. With its old hanging rope still attached, too. Nice. 13" x 9 3 8" and in great vintage condition, 1940s or so, I'd guess. General wear, all to the good, with black painted flip side.
