This is a tremendously unique souvenir plate made for Supply Sergeant John W. Long, Headquarters Company, 6th Field Artillery Regiment, 1st Division. Long was from Newman, Georgia. Long first enlisted in the Regular Army on July 5th, 1913, serving in several field artillery regiments until being assigned to the 6th Field Artillery, going overseas on November 12th, 1917. Long would see every bit of combat with the 1st
