but I'm a big fan of small dishes that can be used for serving this or that

All of this is to say that having a hat stand or even a tall vase turned upside on which to splay this would be ideal

with a little roughness to the wood and a few tiny cracks in the bowl and on the upper neck of the dark--no real matter

I believe both bases are original to the piece

and 4 1/4" diameter and is in excellent condition

I'm not sure I'm ready for a large scale still life with dead game, but like this little one quite a lot, and I like that the head of the hare rests gently on white cloth, framed by lemons on one side and grapes on the other. Sold as found in a frame that looks to be lacquered and painted
