two higher grades of the Knight's Cross with Oak Leaves were instituted: the Knight's Cross with Oak Leaves and Swords and the Knight's Cross with Oak Leaves

These both featured a single leaf rear sight and solid barrel bands held in place by band springs

A slip-on rubber cap covered the whole neck

as well as repairs to the belt swivel

This is a lovely condition early pattern SA Dienstdolch (Service Dagger) with a beautiful blade, made by the legendary firm Carl Eickhorn of Solingen. It comes comes compete with an original early production anodized scabbard, which is in very nice condition. The dagger has solid nickel silver fittings throughout, and is a great example with a lovely look. The crossguards and tang nut are in very good condition
