holding a cache of collected rocks or shells

though I am not quite sure what it is

Lovely Antique Carved Button Up Boot with Scalloped Side Edging  needlepoint sampler 2" across at lipJust a whimsy of sorts, which I love like I love an antique boot shaped snuff box, on this one especially for the scalloped edging of the side buttoning boot. WIth a hoot (which I believe has been in it for quite a long time) for easy hanging, with some gilding still on the "bottons" and a great patina. C. 1880s I believe. 2 3 4" t. (not including hook) x 2 7 8" l x 1" d and in very good condition.
