This is a lovely medal and insignia group named to a Pvt. Wm. Mai of Base Hospital 91, the name on the box is incomplete and will make for a good research project. Base Hospital 91 was a U. S. Army medical facility established in Commercy, France, during World War I. Organized by the American Expeditionary Forces, these hospitals were mobilized to provide advanced care, triage, and surgery for wounded soldiers
