This is a very nice rarely seen WWII Issue second pattern painted steel EM NCO belt buckle for the Luftschutz (Air Raid Protection), responsible for air raid precautions in residential and smaller business areas. This pattern was used 1937 1939, so all examples are quite rare. It is a die stamped steel box belt buckle with a matte silver grey finish. The buckle features a smooth, outer field with a high relief,
