These have most of the original factory "piano varnish" present

The reverse is maker marked very faintly with CLINTON and is dated 1918

This is a very nice early production Pre WWII German NSDAP Leibriemenschlo fr Polizei Offizier (Belt Buckle for Police Officers) with the correct black leather belt, for "Metropolitan" issue. This indicates the belt was for for the Ordnungspolizei (Order Police), the Schutzpolizei (Protection Police), or the Gemeindepolizei (Local Municipal Police), personnel. The NSDAP Civic Police had a military type rank
