Nothing is done to harm the butterfly. They are acquired from butterfly preservation farms worldwide and information cards are included to learn more. These wings are from the Blue Morpho butterfly and are secured inside silver plated brass dangle post earrings. They dangle 1 2" from the ear and the pendant size is 1 2". The wings are sealed in resin making them
