retrieved from the archive of a shoemaker's workshop long since closed

There's some loss to the ring of black paint around this fabulous bather

There is also a small split in the wood of the handle as it crosses the top of the basket--again very minor

This is the drawing that completely sold me on the sketchbook I find this pastel crayoned eight point star, drawn over a fainter penciled grid, used to help him get it just right a transcendently lovely thing. And with the star very much making me
