Purchased from a long time customer, these are a fascinating pair of eyeglasses from the late 1800s. Complete with steel net side shields the lenses are slightly tinted and have typical wire wrap around ear pieces. Contained in their original fiber leather covered pocket case with a metal (silver?) plaque which reads: E. D. NIX U. S. MARSHALL Research tells us that this was EVETT DUMAS NIX who was born in 1861 and was
