This is an excellent unissued example with an lovely metal shield attached to field gray wool Heer (Army) cloth backing. The wool is in great shape, with just a bit of fading, and no mothing. The rear paper backing is about 95% complete, and has a great aged look. This example was never fitted to a uniform, and still retains the original antiqued brass finish, with no corrosion to the base metal or oxidation.
