This is a lovely, service worn wrist compass that was utilized by German pilots during WWII. Made by Kadlec in Czechoslovakia and introduced as AK 39 Armband Kompass 1939 (wrist compass) to the Luftwaffe. The Luftwaffe register number is Fl 23235 1 with Fl standing for Fliegermaterial i. e. aeronautical materiel. The diameter is 60 mm. The liquid inside is present and pure petroleum (kerosene), which can be exchanged
