This is a fantastic, unused example of the illusive Paramarines shoulder sleeve insignia, as worn by US Marine Paratroopers during WWII. These did not appear until early 1943 and were worn only on shirts, field jackets and forest green service uniforms (wools). They were rarely, if ever, worn on P41 or P42 utility uniforms during WWII. The Paramarines (also known as Marine paratroopers) was a short lived specialized
