I don't know anything of his origins, but he's signed on the underside Bruce C., 1962. A very charming shelf sitter, I think! 3 1 2" t x 3 1 4" w x 3 1 2" d. Crazing and a couple of small chips, as documented. The flaw on the back of the head is not a chip but rather a bit of clay adhered to the surface.
