The British Household Cavalry is made up of the two most senior regiments in the British Army, the Life Guards and the Horse Guards. As the name implies, they are cavalry regiments, which today only ride horses in a ceremonial fashion, but during the Victorian Era they were real mounted cavalry. This horse bit is from that period, and is exactly what they would have used when taking the field. The bit has the correct
