This is a very interesting German Model 1935 Helmet shell, which originally looks to have had a WWII DAK Afrikakorps camouflage paint job. Since application, it has definitely seen a lot of wear, and possibly attempts to remove the Afrika campaign Dunkelgelb (Dark Yellow) camouflage paint, probably to fit in better with the European theater. It still does show about 30% of the field repaint on the exterior, while the
