14.5" Chinese Export Canton Porcelain Octagonal Deep Platter Serving Tray 10" diameterBeautiful 19th Century Canton deep platter, decorated in an underglaze blue with a traditional Chinese hand decoration set against a white porcelain ground. In very good antique condition with some staining on rim (see photo). From the 1600s to late 1860s, Canton porcelain was molded and fired in kilns in the province of Ching Te Chen, then shipped to the port city of Canton for painting.
