but is forever kept from pulling out by a carved wooden arm that extends across just below the neck of the bottle

with a small dark spot on one side of the lid and a small water stain at the base of one side and onto the bottom

or to fill with a couple of little treasures and give as a gift basket

All the better is that it be painted (in oil) on an old chamfered wood panel, with various dings and scrapes and wear that just add to its charms. Victorian era American, and I believe based on a popular advertising image of the time, though I think it has a bit of a Mexican ratablo feel
