I  know that this sign was salvaged from a factory in Indianapolis prior to demolition

a few dark spots

which for me transforms it into a sort of fossilized sculpture

The drawing just melts me

SOLD Folk Art Gourd Person with Great Carved Face and Twig Arms and Legs! copper print block I know that this signI wouldn't have predicted I'd go in for a carved gourd figure, but I think this guy is fabulous, with carved twigs for arms and legs and just the sort of awkward and open face that would make me fall for a carving of any sort. With a cap made from the opposite end of the gourd, which was cut off to expose the legs. (Looking up the skirt one can see the bark was left on most of them.) Great all the way around, with a terrific surface too. 16" t x 5 1
